Seamless gutters in Manahawkin, for the Ocean Acres pines and the Beach Haven West lagoons. One family crew, free estimates within 24 hours.

Manahawkin is the center of Stafford Township, and its housing came in two waves on two kinds of ground. In 1957 developers started dredging the salt marsh north of Manahawkin Bay into the 130 lagoons of Beach Haven West, selling expandable Capes and small ranches to vacationers, and in the early 1960s Ocean Acres opened on the Pinelands side west of the Parkway with ranches and bi-levels on sandy lots at 121 feet. Both filled in through the 1970s and 80s and turned year-round, with the older village along Bay Avenue in between. Seamless gutters built for pine needles on one side of town and salt and tides on the other are what we install, repair and clean across Manahawkin.
A Beach Haven West lagoon home three feet above the bay and an Ocean Acres ranch under pitch pine do not fail the same way, so we size and hang each system for the side of town it is on.
We install, repair and clean seamless aluminum gutters from Ocean Acres and downtown to Beach Haven West, Mallard Island and Mayetta.
Get a Free EstimateStafford's two sides give us two gutter problems: needles and oak leaves in Ocean Acres and Cedar Run, salt and wind on the Beach Haven West lagoons. Here is how each service handles both.
On the 1960s and 70s ranches and bi-levels in Ocean Acres we form seamless aluminum on site to the full length of the eave, add the outlet the original gutter never had, and size 6-inch where a bi-level roof dumps its water at one corner. On the lagoon homes in Beach Haven West, many raised since Sandy, we hang on hidden hangers that hold in bay wind and run full-height downspouts with extensions toward the street. More on seamless gutter installation.
In Ocean Acres the common repair is a run sagging off its spikes under a season of wet needles; in Beach Haven West it is a downspout torn loose by storm wind or a corner that leaks because salt ate the sealant. We re-hang on hidden hangers, reset pitch, reseal corners with a sealant suited to the side of town, reconnect downspouts, and replace single sections rather than the whole run when the rest is sound. More on gutter repair.
Pitch pine drops needles all year over Ocean Acres, Cedar Run and Warren Grove, and the oaks add a heavy fall load; on the lagoons the wind brings sand and grit instead. Needles get through a coarse screen, so we fit a fine mesh that sheds them and still passes a downpour, and the same mesh keeps grit out of a Beach Haven West gutter. More on gutter guards.
An Ocean Acres gutter under pines wants cleaning three times a year without guards; a Beach Haven West gutter needs spring, fall and a look after any major coastal storm. We clear the debris by hand and haul it, flush every downspout from the top until it runs clear, confirm the water leaves away from the house or past the pilings, and check hangers, seams and fascia while we are up. More on gutter cleaning.
Wet needles sitting in a gutter rot the fascia behind it from the top down, and salt air does the same job on the lagoons. You will see peeling paint at the roof edge, dark streaks below the gutter and a run drooping at one end. We replace the rotted fascia and soffit, wrap the new wood in aluminum so it is done with paint and salt, and rehang the gutters on a solid edge, usually with a new seamless run. Here is the fascia and soffit repair page.
West of the Parkway it is pines; east of it, the bay. The gutter work follows.
1960s and 70s ranches and bi-levels on sandy Pinelands lots with full-grown pines. Fine-mesh guards and a seamless replacement with an added outlet.
1950s and 60s Capes and ranches on the lagoons, many raised, with tides at the street. Hidden hangers and downspouts routed clear of the pilings.
The older village homes between the two, under mature street trees. Profile matching on original trim and a fall cleaning.
Wooded lots and bayside pockets toward the township edges. Long downspout runs and guards for the needle load.
